Choose the fix, cheapest first

Purpose: Choose the right intervention before choosing a tool, cheapest and easiest to undo first.
Inputs: The cause from Symptom to cause
Method: Eliminate: does the step need to exist at all?
Simplify: has it become more complicated than the situation requires?
Change ownership: is the wrong person responsible for it?
Change the rule: does a decision that used to need approval still need it?
Improve the information: do people lack what they need to decide well on their own?
Use technology, including AI, only once the five above have failed the check
Output: The fix chosen, what should change once it’s applied, and how you’ll measure whether it worked.
